What is Rafflecopter please?

Hi, I have only just started using the comp boards and have no idea what Rafflecopter is or what to do to enter those competitions? Many thanks in advance!

Ok so here's my take on Rafflecopters

They are a widget that can be dropped into a webpage to organise a giveaway - predominantly they were used on blogs but seem to be spreading across the compiverse like a rash!

They generally ask you to enter in multiple ways/times to increase your number of entries

So you might be asked to
- like the page
- like the Facebook page
- share on facebook
- follow on twitter
- tweet
- follow on Google+
etc
etc

And the sharing/tweeting can often be a daily exercise.

So entering a Rafflecopter competition 'seriously' is kinda like entering a daily comp with a monthly prize - to increase your odds and match what other entrants might be doing you would be looking at doing the daily bits.

Got to say I am not a fan. They are often on blogs so are offering lower value prizes and it seems a lot of effort sometimes so I don't bother. Which I suppose means you have more chance of winning
