Lloyds TSB Bank and Privacy Guard

I hope this isn't a duplicate posting. I've run a search and can't see it anywhere.

Lloyds TSB are offering a service in association with a company called Privacy Guard which offers the following benefits in the event of users discovering they've been the victim of identity fraud -

Immediate help from our team of professional advisors who can step in if you’ve been a victim of ID fraud,

access to your credit report and score – view your credit status and payment history in one easy-to-understand document showing all your credit cards, mortgages and loans,

credit alerts to warn you if someone’s been checking your credit status or doing anything fraudulent that affects your score,

expert help to restore your credit status if it’s affected by fraud or poor credit history,

one-stop registration for your valuable documents – so you’ll always have your passport, driving licence, insurance policy details and other crucial information to hand.

All this costs £6.99 per month, which seems high to me, especially given that banks and other institutions are usually held to some degree of responsibility anyway. What do others think?
