M&S disappearing vouchers - Beware!
Options
I signed up for M&S energy Fix and Save in August and was promised £20 in M&S vouchers. My account was switched and no vouchers - customer servces told me they delay sending them so people don't sign up then cancel after receiving them. 4 weeks later a letter arrived saying sorry that was all a mistake, no £20, here's £5 instead!
But not MY mistake.. so I rang and told them I expect the deal I signed up for and this £20 was part of my decision. Awaiting a call back.
Anyone in the same position should know that the Waybackmachine at archive.org/web/ contains a history of web pages sampled at points in time, and it contains the M&S Energy homepage which promises the £20 vouchers with Fix and Save - cached on 27 July and 7 September 2013! Useful proof as the page has now changed.

Yep I got conned the same way."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

I got "conned" (why do people make these silly statements ???) the other way - got my voucher almost by return of post then it took them over two moths to do the switch.0

If you switched via a third party like moneysupermarket you don't get the vouchers. It's in very small print in the contract they first send you.0

I am also expecting £40 in vouchers from the switch back at the end of last year. I also received a £5 voucher through the post. Their response to my e-mail was 'Unfortunately as you signed up through a comparison website the offer which was stated to you is something we cannot honour. Customers that joined up directly through M&S Energy via the telephone or on the M&S Energy website were only applicable to receive a £10.00 M&S joining voucher per fuel. I would advise that you to contact the comparison website directly where you can raise your query with them to investigate as they run offers independently to us.' Seeing as I joined through the mse Cheap Energy Club, any ideas if what they are saying is true? And how do I contact the mse Cheap Energy Club for a response to this?0
