Sainsburys have an online, and perhaps instore promotion, expiring on 3rd December, for Indian and Chinese ready meals. You get one main course and one 'side' for *only* 10 GBP. The main course is priced at 3.50 GBP ordinarily, and the most expensive 'side' is 2.50 GBP.
Has anyone else noticed this offer, which charges you 3 GBP or more than the regular price, which itself was raised 17 per cent three weeks ago.
I rang up Customer Service, but they can neither add, nor explain the 'offer'.

Don't these usually also include a bottle of wine? I wonder if they bump up the price if you buy these items together???0

Yes, they normally do include wine, but there is no wine tab on the offer page, which there usually is.0

I thought the deal was you get 4 mains and 2 sides for £100

The Indian/Chinese meal deal with 4x mains and 2x sides - you normally save £8-10.50 depending on what you buy.
Becareful with the online shopping as if one of the dishes or sides you ordered is OOS, the shopper will pick something which isn't on the offer and then you are charged £18.70. It happened to my friend with the 4xcurries & rice and 2x sides offer they had 6 weeks ago. She was angry why couldn't they picked another curry of the same, instead of the curry without the rice (which weren't in the deal).0 -
And that's why I like shopping online with Tesco, because they will honour the original price/offer even if they send an alternative.0

This particular deal my friend ordered 4 different curries, of which one was OOS. Why couldn't the shopper give her another one of those curries she ordered? Not rocket science.
I have no idea why Sainsburys don't price match the alternatives.0 -

I shop online with Tesco and have stopped buying the meal deals because when there is something out of stock they always sub it for something thats not in the meal deal so I end up either paying full price for everything or arguing with customer service every week.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
