Cab and bankruptcy

Hi, contacted CAB with regards bankruptcy and was advised with their help to apply to United Utilities for grant funding, i was notified in September that i had been successful in gaining the grant. My question is, I have now filled in all the forms 6.27, 6.28 and the updated Ex160 together with all the appropriate proof needed but am unsure as to whether i need to book an appointment with the courts to file for bankruptcy myself or will my case worker at CAB do this for me. I have telephoned United Utilities Trust and they said the CAB need to request payment when a date is set and the courts say i cant book one until i know the funds are available for that date. Not sure what to do now but dont want to lose the chance of the funding, Thanks in advance.

I'd 'book' a date at Cort..then inform CAB [cc to United too]....After all, if for some [administrative??] reason, the funds are not available on the day, you don't have to go to Court.
There are many reasons why, if a BR petition is booked, it isn't taken up. You 'might' have won the lottery the day before?? Or..simply, changed your mind?
All the Court Office is concerned about is, will the pennies be on the counter at the appropriate time? No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Thats what i had thought of doing, been to the CAB office every week since i received the letter but no further forward and its been a long hard road so far, tried the IVA route first then my husband lost his job so it had to fail and really dont want to miss this opportunity as i feel we have been given a lifeline and there is light at the end of the tunnel at last. Thankyou alastairq for your reply.0
