Just finished catching up, and so shocked at the sad news.
Mad will be sadly missed, and it is so lovely to see everyone pulling together. We truly are a family here, and we've lost one of our own. The tributes to Mad show how much we all care, even for those we have never met, but who touch our lives. Seeing the photos of Mad is lovely, so good to be able to put a face to the name. I've shed tears at the posts on here today, and more when I listened to Mad's song. How lovely that his family can hear it.
I've donated, lit a candle and raised a glass to Mad, and also raised a glass to Bushy, a friend from Antigua who we lost to leukaemia a week ago.

I found this poem that I'd like to share as I think is lovely. It is for all of us who have lost a loved one.

Feel no guilt in laughter, he'd know how much you care.
Feel no sorrow in a smile that he is not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever; he would not want you to.
He'd hope that you could carry on the way you always do.
So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you, a word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day,
That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here,
And fills you with the feeling that he is always near.
For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart
