Can my employer change my fostered days off just because its Christmas?

My manager came to me re days off at Christmas. My days off normally are Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. Christmas Day falls on a Wednesday. She said that she wanted to make if far for all so I would get Xmas Day, Boxing Day and Friday off, meaning I would be working Monday (as normal) and Christmas Eve ( which is my fostered day off). Can they do this as its not my fault that Xmas day falls on a day that I would normally be at work. Any advice would be appreciated.

Absolutely she can do this and it sounds like she's trying to be fair with the off-duty. Are you really complaining that you've now got Christmas day off?Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Have you planned Xmas Eve stuff because you thought you would be off work then? (And therefore off for 4 days that week).
I guess a lot depends on the job you do. If you're in a customer facing role then I think it would be reasonable for the business to staff up on Xmas eve. If not, you could possibly negotiate the day off or just working a half day.
It is difficult to say with limited info.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
