Can my employer change my fostered days off just because its Christmas?

My manager came to me re days off at Christmas. My days off normally are Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. Christmas Day falls on a Wednesday. She said that she wanted to make if far for all so I would get Xmas Day, Boxing Day and Friday off, meaning I would be working Monday (as normal) and Christmas Eve ( which is my fostered day off). Can they do this as its not my fault that Xmas day falls on a day that I would normally be at work. Any advice would be appreciated.

Absolutely she can do this and it sounds like she's trying to be fair with the off-duty. Are you really complaining that you've now got Christmas day off?

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Have you planned Xmas Eve stuff because you thought you would be off work then? (And therefore off for 4 days that week).

I guess a lot depends on the job you do. If you're in a customer facing role then I think it would be reasonable for the business to staff up on Xmas eve. If not, you could possibly negotiate the day off or just working a half day.

It is difficult to say with limited info.

What does your contract state in regards to changing your shifts / scheduled time in?

Mines has a clause for example where my shifts can be changed with 30 days notice.
