Ideas for gifts for far away people

I've got relatives at the other end of the country & am racking my brains what to send this year. I usually send a family pressie & in the past I've had sent M & S and Thorntons hampers.

I'd like to send something else this year. Can be edible or not, but not vouchers.

Any ideas? Budget needs to be £40 tops for each family's gift.

  • Will watch this thread as I have the same issue!
  • A cheese hamper? You get some lovely ones, especially from smaller producers. You could, possibly, find somewhere local.

Go online and find a shop local to your relatives - a good independent shop and see if you can buy a hamper from them containing different foodie things (full of local produce).

There are so stuff you could buy from Amazon these days, and they will deliver to your relatives address (and they have no problems with delivery, not unlike M&S - last year there were several threads here about it).
  • Just posted on another thread about this but could be relevant - i have been looking for presents that are green with little packaging or waste - this fits the bill on that front but also ideal as a distance present!

A bit random but this company called Abundance enable you to gift a bit of a UK solar farm!

This year I am sewing felt Christmas decorations.
So far have made tree's, bells, snowman, stars, bobble and hearts.
