My mum is 90 in January and we are having a family celebration with one son and his children and grandchildren coming from France - we will be 18 in total, from 90 down to 1.
I would like to give her some lovely family memento but am short of ideas. A painted plate? A framed photo? If we have pictures, should ones of her be when she was young, or now with her family around her? Or should I try to find something else... I have thought about the possibility of a photo book but again choosing pics is not easy as there are so many. What about a pic of her parents too? Or am I trying to put in too much? Please help...

I think a photo book telling her story would be amazing. Start from the earliest photos you have of her and include anything which shows her growing up, other family members, her parents, siblings etc. Then continue with key stages of her life up to the present day. You could perhaps leave the last page blank and include a voucher for a family photo shoot or maybe just for a picture of her 90th with all of the family around.:A
