Which brand?

I want to buy a hoodie for my niece. She is 14. What I wanted to know is what are the most popular clothing brands for teenage girls. What would raise an eyebrow when she meets her mates.

Back in the day Burberry was all the rage (remember that??? before Daniella Westbrook killed the brand!). so I was wondering what is the equivalent today

Thank you for any help

Try Superdry or Jack Wills. Both pretty expensive (roughly £50 ) but from experience the Superdry ones are, at least, good quality & wash well. :)

Are you sure she cares? My daughter (now 18) and her friends were more interested in fashion not labels. Primark was fine as it was more or less disposable.

Another vote here for Superdry, plus Bench.
  • My 14 year old daughter loves Gilly Hicks stuff.

hollister is also another popular one, or Abercrombie if you know anyone going to the states who could bring one back for you? Sometimes they have shipping offers online otherwise it's pretty costly, but with Black Friday next week , they might do something.

  • Abercrombie & Fitch, and Jack Wills are very popular brands at the moment... Although it really does depend what sort of teenager she is, and who she identifies herself as. Is she trendy / chavvy / alternative in her dress sense? The answer to that may help you determine what brand and style would be best received.

  • Seems to be Hollister, Gilly Hicks or Superdry around here.

Agreed! But also to add, it may all depend on what her friends are wearing too. Bit of a minefield tbh :) Having said that, I've found Converse anything is quite popular :)

I think my daughter was into Roxy, Bench and Billabong at that age.
