Onepoll surveys disappearing when near payout threshold

Hello, I'm new to the Money Saving Forums and just wanted to ask how many other people have experienced problems with Onepoll in that when you get very near to the payment threshold of £40 suddenly where you once received a few surveys a day you don't get any?
I reached £39.80 and had another survey available in the list I could attempt when I was at £39.80 which promptly disappeared when I reached £39.90 and since then it's been saying 'no surveys available' or screening me out of every one that has been there which hasn't been hardly any whereas before I got to attempt at least one or two a day if not more (unless on a weekend) and managed to complete at least one.
I have since been on the facebook page for them and seen with a sinking heart that there are other people who've experienced the same thing. So is Onepoll just a scam site that deliberately stops you from being paid once you get near the threshold or has anyone had good experiences with them?

They always do this, I have no idea why, other than to p1Ss people off. When challenged via Facebook they always categorically deny that they do it, but they most definitely do.
They do have some dodgy practices, like claiming they don't have the money to pay you yet. And why does it take 28 days to get the payment to you once you've claimed - BACS should take 3 days at most.
However, they DO eventually pay out, and you will eventually get the survey you need to hit the £40. And I bet you, once you've claimed the £40, suddenly there'll be a whole raft of surveys appear by magic - surveys that have been available for other people for days.0 -
Thanks for the reply, I guess I'll just have to keep trying then but I don't know if I'll continue with them if I ever reach the £40 as it seems a pretty shabby way to treat people.
I suppose it's their way of trying to make people give up and not claim their £40 but I am a member of other survey sites and they haven't carried on like this so the fact Onepoll do is depressing.
It's reassuring that you say they eventually do pay out, but it doesn't make much business sense if you're running a site which needs people to fill in surveys to function to put your members off like this.0 -
When getting pennies away from the £40 open all available surveys in new tabs, that way when you hit £39.90 you should hopefully have another survey to complete. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

As Ebe says, the surveys do appear after a few days. I got to 39.95 last Friday morning and got a survey to get me over the 40 mark late on Monday.
They are worth putting up with - when the 40 that I've just requested turns up, I'll have been paid £160 by them this year.0 -

That doesn't always seem to work.
I was about 30p away from the £40 on Friday and had about 70p of surveys showing, so I opened them all in new tabs. I got to the £39.95 mark and then all the remaining surveys I had open either screened me out or came up with quota full.0 -
Yes that will happen sometimes, last time I redeemed it worked for me (just a few weeks ago) really just depends on if you're suitable and the surveys aren't full. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I think they've got wise to this just recently. I always used to do the same - open half a dozen in multiple tabs, and it always worked. But only the other day I did it as I was on £39.80, had a 10p and a 15p survey on the go simultaneously. Got half way through the 15p one, then switched to the 10p one. Finished that, flipped back to the 15p to finish it, but the very next question it said "quota full". Onepoll are sneaky little so-and-so's!
As Starlet says, I can't see what they gain from this, apart from annoying their panellists, and where would they be without anyone to answer surveys ?0 -
Happens to me too, every time without fail. The surveys come back eventually though.
I've been with them about 2 years and have had 7 payouts so far so its nothing to worry about.
It does p*ss me off a little bit but as they are one of the better sites out there I put up with it.0 -
Sounds like I got lucky when I approached mine, I got in on a 5p survey when I was at £39.95 thinking I'd be stuck there having read stuff on this board. This was only a few weeks ago and I had the money in my bank this week.

EDIT, it was 5th November, money in my account on 21st.0 -
You can refer a friend and get 50p when they join and answer a survey.0
