Nationwide Proof of Funds

Hold on, should the OP not look to set things up under part 3 of the nationwide 'acceptable deposit' Ts&Cs quoted above?
IeExceptions to this include a protected family gift (family trust deed) where the funds are repayable on the future sale of the property (no other conditions can apply to this deposit)
So the parents chip in for the property, have a trust deed setup so they get repaid if the property is sold. If the OP wants to start paying them back before then they can simply 'loan' it to the parents the other way.
Everything is above board then and nobody needs to tell any porkies?0 -
all sounds a lot more complicated than we first expected! Our IFA has submitted a letter from the solicitors in charge of the inheritence side which clarifies that further money is to be released (and should be able to specify numbers).
We will see if/when Nationwide come back and reject this idea haha!
Then we may have to go down the gift route as my mum would be happier entering this than messing around setting up trust deeds etc. Gift it - sign saying she's gifting it and show whatever bank statements she may need to from her savings account. But by the time the mortgage is started and the rest of the deposit is needed (March time/completion time) - the inheritence should all be in and its not needed - so we'd rather avoid this if we can!0
