Been trying to reclaim mortgage exit fee from Nationwide...used letter template from here..no reply after 3 weeks, telephoned..no joy ! Will write again...has anyone had a positive response from Nationwide please.

    The FSA published its requirements on mortgage exit fees. So, it should not be difficult. The lender, upon request from the borrower, refund any difference between what was paid and what was agreed on the last mortgage offer signed by the borrower (ie. the last deal you bought). If no difference then no refund.

    So, answering your question, I would expect that people have had successes and failures. However, either way, Nationwide should let you know.
