This challenge is about seeing if you can live with having only £10 for 1 week of the month to buy yourself "luxuries". This challenge is meant only for you and does not include your family.

The November challenge would start from the 25th - 1st December to help members get a taste of what the challenge is about. However the challenge would usually start on the 18th - 24th of each month and the challenge will start properly on the 18th Of December.

The Rules & Guidelines
• No other money must be used for spending on the purchases that should be what the £10 note covers, only the £10 note!
• You must ban the use of your card for purchases that should be what the £10 note covers.
• You must aim to do 3 things that are free to do,
There would be a post below the challengers section with a list of ideas of free or cheap things to do.
• Just a tip for even more savings; Look for coupons, discounts and offers such as "BOGOF", "2 for 1" etc… and use them during the challenge when you can.
• At the end of the week, if you have any change left over you can stash it away in your savings tin or you can put it into your savings account.

Things the £10 note cover the cost of:
• New clothes, make-up, Accessories & jewellery
• Video Games
• Chocolate & other food treats
• Coffee or tea from the coffee shop
• Going out (Parties,local pub,nightclub etc…)
• Eating out
• Weekly magazine
• Dvds & DVD rentals
• CDs
• The use of vending machines in work/college etc…
• Other indulgences & luxuries for yourself

• Transport fees
• Medical bills (for prescriptions etc…)
• Family expenses (School uniform, work uniform, giving the children lunch money etc…)
• Christmas presents for other people / Christmas items

You may post daily or once as a way to round up your week.

If you would like to join in with this challenge, simply just post something like "join please" and you will get a number.
Every month there will be a new challenge thread created.

Deadline for membership: Sunday 24th November. The challenge starts on monday 25th Nov - Sunday 1st Dec

you can stick with your assigned number if you would like to join in the next months challenge you just have to post "join again" :)

can I steal number 8 please.

However, I won't be taking part this month but will begin in December. (I am in disneyland during the November week and there is no chance of me only spending £10).
    ;)

I would really like to take part in December though.
    :)

Erm... number 8 is my lucky number so that is why I am trying to shotgun it just now.
    :o

    Hope that is okay.
