Does anyone have a safe link to download a free version of Minecraft for the PC?
We have the paid for app on the Ipad, but have been told that the PC version is a much better and more extensive game.
I would like my son to be able to 'try before we buy'.
Thank you.

You can try the demo version which gives you a few hours of gameplay.
But for anything more I think you need the bought game, and yes the PC versions tends to have a lot more you can do in it - mainly though various mods.0 -

Thoroughly disagree... Minecraft is a modern indie masterpiece and browsing public servers to see some of the wonderful things people have spent hundreds of hours to build is fantastic fun.0 -
I think you can download the application from their website and play single player on the PC. However, you need to buy a premium account for him to join servers and play with friends.0
