Recommend me a waterproof mascara

I've got a family member's funeral on Friday and there will most definitely be a few tears shed. I need a waterproof mascara that will not run down my cheeks and make me look like a panda, but the only one I've ever tried was a Rimmel one and wasn't great (it sort of flaked off rather than running). Can anyone recommend a decent one?

Cost not really an issue but I do need to be able to buy it in Boots/Superdrug etc rather than online, as I won't have time for it to arrive.

  • Maybelline waterproof mascaras always stay on I find.
  • Bourjois clubbing, pig to get off though. Hope the day goes ok for you :)

This did not work for me at all and within an hour I had big smudges under my eyes but then I do suffer from some weird condition where mascaras other people swear by are useless on me, I have oily eyelashes or something I don’t know .

I find Est!e Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara the best I have ever tried and amazed me recently when through a very very traumatic time and days of crying and eye rubbing it was still pretty perfect, also it is pretty easy to remove.

Another vote for this from me. Only one I've ever found that does the job

Thanks everyone. I've gone off Maybelline mascaras lately, I have The Falsies and find it very clumpy and it's the only mascara that has ever ended up smudged underneath my eyes by the end of the day so I look like a panda.

I might pick up the Estee Lauder one if Boots have it in stock.

So what did you use & how did you get on?
  • I've just bought the new Estee one, it's not great, very clumpy. Chanel waterproof is not, the YSL one is ok. Maybelline, did not last 5 minutes into my gym session. No 7, Intense Volume Waterproof is really good and I have just bought one from Lidl to try.
