First time buyer poor credit advice needed

Hi, just looking for some advice. I earn 35000 a year and my husband earns 29000. I have credit cards of about 7500 and my husband has about 13000 credits cards. We have a deposit of 20000 pounds and are looking to get a house valued about 120000 so about 85% mortgage? I had an arrangement to pay about 2 years ago for a bill of about 800, it's all clear now and I have no late payments in the last year. Are we likely to get a mortgage? My experian rating does not show the arrangement but equifax does. Should I look for a specialist broker?

You will most likely need a Mortgage broker for this.
There should be a home for it, but unlikely to be with a high street lender.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Am I likely to be able to get one? I have only just come into the money and it is my dream to own my own home! Would I need a specialist broker and how do I find a reputable one? Thanks for the fast reply by the way

I would be pretty confident it would go through yes... dont hold me to that as there is limited information. It also depends on the dates, im assuming it is over 2 years old since the last issue.
As for decent brokers - avoid estate agents based brokers, i would also imagine you would need to pay a fee (make sure you only pay it on offer or completion - that way they only get paid if you get the mortgage).I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
