I'm not sure what to tell you really, we were just the lowly sound crew, we didn't get tea and crumpets with them. Seriously though, the band were really nice, I usually find that the people who are stars, who have sold millions and do have talent are really nice down to earth people. Oh the other hand you get liberty X!

Jon's wife follows him everywhere and won't let another woman within 20 feet of him. When he's off stage she drapes herself all over him like a human poncho. I thought it was quite funny. He's dead short. We did sound for him back in june last year, around the 16th/17th can't remember off the top of my head at a venue where we do a summer run of dead posh corporate events. One big bank always has a mega band playing, last year was bon jovi. Then we did the hall of fame music awards in november at alexandra palace. Bon Jovi were there, he was standing right next to me and I didn't have a clue who he was. OH said, don't be flirting now, I turned around and noticed the human throw and then saw it was jon bonjovi. He can't be more than 5ft 3. Other than that there's not much more to say.

Why does a sound man only count to 2? Because on 3 you lift:rotfl:

ok, during a line check, which is when a sound engineer/crew is on stage checking that all mics are in the correct chanel in the stage box which relates to the right chanel on the desk. Crew will check the mics saying one two check one two etc into the mic, Mr engineer will thumbs up if he gets a signal.

When we lift stuff (and there is an awful lot of lifting) people say one two (lift on) three. So, the joke is, sound engineers don't count past 2 because on 3 they have to lift, suggesting they're lazy. It's a crap joke, you can slap me with the wet fish now.

My family are (or were) heavily involved in the theatre (Dad & middle sister did lighting, little sister did sound, Mum did costumes) so I was brought up in that environment - we used to tell that joke about the sound engineers there too lol!
