antique silver selling

I have sold gold before but never silver but I have a few pieces of antique silver from 1600s and 1700a and 1800s they are nice pieces mainly spoons or serving ladles. i dont want them to be melted and scrap has no value anyway, does anyone know wher I could sell them? we had them in family long time but i need the money now.

eBay? Scrap value is low, but if the patterns are collectable and the conditions decent you might get more inetrest. Or if they're really good examples, try asking your local auction house for a valuation
  • oh auction house is a good idea becuase i know we have one near. ebay silver seems to go really cheap and these are really old pieces. thank you
