Ikea now charge 70p per transaction to use any credit card but their own.
If you take out one of the Ikea ccs, not only do they give you a free meal (for opening the card account) but everytime you visit the restaurant, you can get a free hot or cold drink by showing your card. This may not sound like much but it saves each cardholder 85p everytime they have a drink there. The meatballs are very nice.

we tried to open an account last week and the girl we were dealing with didnt have a clue.
she couldnt tell us what the rtes were , what benefits were , wether interest free and how long it as for (or not)

so we gave up and paid on switch

And as a bonus they often seem to be running a promo where if you spend £100 on it when you're signing up then you'll get £15 off straight away. Given the average purchases in ikea i guess quite a lot of things would qualify for that!

I never knew that!!! I've got an IKEA card from buying a sofa in there years ago. Will have to remember it for my next visit

I have one myself and its we'll worht it just to get rid of the 70p transaction charge and the 85p you pay for coffee! Check it out. Have to be over 18 mind and there are some terms and conditions I think!
