DMP & debt collectors visiting

Hi All,
A bit of advice please if I may?……
Im currently on a DMP and one of my creditors has ignored all contact from step change and has now sent me a letter stating they will be visiting my address. What should I do about this? I don't want anyone visiting (i wouldn't let them in anyway) but I also don't want neighbours seeing debt collectors visit.
Out of all my creditors sigma are the only ones causing a problem. The irony is that they are only trying to collect £33!!!!

I really don't think that they will visit.
Over the years I have had plenty of letters threatening visits from debt collectors (not all for me lol) but to date, none have actually turned up!

Seems to be the smaller the amount, the more vigorously they pursue it, which is beyond me, but still, anyway, unlikely they will turn up at your door, if they do, you are under no obligation whatsoever to engage with them, they have no power at all, if you want to make a point, write to them stating you are "removing there rights of implied access to your property" then, if they do call, you can report them to the old bill for trespass, and watch as they have there collars felt !!!! hee hee hee lolI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hello there.
A debt collector is not a bailiff. They do not have the right to try and take your belongings. As others have mentioned it is very uncommon for doorstep collectors to visit, but it still happens from time-to-time. Since the creditor is ignoring Stepchange they are in breach of the Office of Fair Trading's Debt Collection Guidance. You have a right to use a recognised third-party advice agency to help you. You also have a right to inform the creditor that you wish not to have anyone visiting you. The fact that you have Stepchange helping you should be sufficient.
You may wish to request a copy of the creditor's complaints procedure. We have a useful fact sheet which covers harassment, you can download it from our website: http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=03_harassment
Here is a link to the debt collection guidance:

Are you sure it says that they intend to visit?
Often they say a Home Collections Officer (or some such) will call at time and date.
they mean phone.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

thanks everyone - It reads….
"we have arranged for one of our representatives to call at your address" and then gives times/dates so I guess it could be a phone call!!
it starts off by saying "as we have been unable to contact you"….. I spoke to them last week!!0 -

For the amount I would pay itDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
