Ive been working for my current employer for 2 years and i just cant get out, I apply for other jobs all the time but never get to an interview.
Whenever I have got an interview I have always got the job but cant get an interview anywhere.
At my current workplace I am made to feel stupid and incapable but I am alot smarter and clued up to things than people think.
I am bottom of the pecking order with false promises made to me from the start.
I am always being distracted from my job due to being asked to do things that is not in my job description, 70% of the time i cant do my job due to reasons beyond my control but nothing is ever done about it.
If someone cant be bothered to do somthing then its passed down to me.
I need some help and advice, i cant leave my job because i have a family to provide for

If you aren't getting interviews then it suggests that either you are applying for jobs for which you are not suitable, or that you aren't presenting your application as well as you could.
What sort of things are you applying for, and are you making suure to apply exactly as requested?0 -
I only apply within my means and when i put a job application in i really give it 100% everything ive got.
Ive applied for simular positions to what i currently hold and to no avail, i have applied for lower positions also but always get rejected to an interview.
I am at a point where i will literally takwe anything but cant take a pay cut as i said i need to provide for my family.
i am paid nearly minimum wage but work 47 hours a week so finding a job on the same wage and hours is very difficult.
In order to match my wage the majority of the time its a 38 hour a week job but im not quite qualified enough, and there is no room for growth in my position0 -
Is there anything you can do out of work to improve your opportunities - OU or more vocational training?0

I was thinking more of the technical side of the application. Do you use teir own form, and naswer every question? Do you format it and use the font that makes it easiest to read, do you keep your covering letter short, and to the point, etc?
Have you had your CV looked at by someone else who's been more succesful finding work?
These jobs exist, and other people are getting them. If you aren't getting even to the interview stage then it's going to be because what you send them is not what they want, so we just need to go through the details until we work out why.
Could you start by telling us what sort of work you do, what your qu alifications are, and what thing you applied for last?0 -
Take a look at your CV. Does it stand out? Does it only give the potential employer the relevant information that they would be interested in?
We recruit for people every now and again and I can tell you, it is incredibly boring looking at 40 CV's a day which all look the same. Eventually you start looking at ones which stand out, ones which are different, ones which have something interesting in it. The ones which all look the same and state the obvious are forgettable. (Don't omit this either as you want your CV to be picked up by searches, but don't overdo it!!)
Not saying that you have to make your CV wacky or put completely irrelevant information on there, but do something that will catch attention. Make it pleasant for the person looking at your CV to look at it. Let them get the jist of who you are and what you are about at the top of the page.0
