Odd Facebook message, anyone had the same?

Trying to log into Facebook and getting

Your Account has been temporarily blocked

"It looks like you haven't logged in from this device before. To help keep your account safe, please answer a few security questions"

It then goes through to trying to send a code to an old number - which I do not have anymore

Has anyone had this before? I am using the same computer I have used for the last 2 years with the account so a bit stuck at what I can do

It always says I'm logging in from a different device, I put this down to my IP address changing so frequently as I use mobile broadband. I have never had my account blocked because of it though, seems very odd.

I had it every day for about a week and then it stopped. No idea why but I just closed the page and then went back to FB and it let me in with no trouble. You can always try using a different browser or clearing your caches to see if any of those help?

Sorry I can't help more - I still have no idea what causes it

catching up on BBC click from this weekend, FB have stepped up account re-authentication in the wake of the Adobe hack.

This could, perhaps be part of it.

Thanks for the replies, Its an odd one but is now resolved.

I logged on with my phone- which I have never used for Facebook comping before and it asked me to verify my usual ISP that I had legitimately logged on then which I had an now its working

Can only assume it was linked to the Adobe hack above
