Which lender for fastest mortgage application processing?

Hi..

1. Based on your experience or knowledge, can you please suggest which lender is known to process mortgage applications the most efficiently, quickly and promptly?

2. Is Agreement in principal AIP subject to credit search? OR it is just online certificate generated as is the case with HSBC mortgages.

I dont think HSBC are the quickest.

I went to see a client about 2 months ago. 21 days later he had his keys (it would have been 18 days but we just ran out of time on the friday. That was with a lender called Skipton, but admittedly i had to call in a favour and the solicitors were on form.

The longest part of getting a mortgage through is the legal side of it. Most lenders will have an offer within a week assuming everything is with them straight away.

It changes all the time though, you need to speak to the lenders.
