Hi, I'm baking a fruit cake as we speak, eggs and butter are creamed ready for 200g of plain flour - weigh the flour and I only have 100g!!!!
In my cupboards I have
Self raising
00 pasta flour
Strong white bread flour
Are any of these a suitable substitution?

I would just use the self raising flour.
I never make cakes anyway with plain flour.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I use plain flour plus baking powder for fruit cake so I think the SR will be fine.
I only have a small cupboard for baking stuff so I find if buy a bag of plain plus a small tub of baking powder I can make pastry, Yorkshires etc then just add the baking powder for cakes. I can get more in the cupboard.
Enjoy for cake I am sure it will be fine.Slimming World at target0
