Smart Parking Ticket (No Valid Permit)

Options
Friend has received this recently. I have removed ALL personal data from the ticket (i hope). But if anything needs to be replaced i can do that easily enough.

The 1st thread i found said they were not properly registered etc but appear to be now.

So what to use for this one? Parked behind some shops where it must be staff parking with permits. They normally park in the spaces opposite and never had a ticket before.

I will try and visit the site and see/photo the signs. Where to start?

£90 reduced to £45 is that fair for using a space without a permit for 20 minutes?

Thanks..

And when the Notice to Owner arrives it is flawed as it doesn't state the contravention (unless Smart have changed it recently!). Loads of reasons to wait for the Notice to Owner/Keeper as per the linked sticky thread information.

Easy to beat at POPLA appeal in due course as long as the friend takes our advice.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So sit tight until the notice to keeper arrives?

Thanks. Will report back when they get that.

Just to be absolutely clear ... this was a PCN attached to the vehicle? (It looks like one, but this is not clearly stated).

Yes it was attached to the vehicle.

Little yellow packet parking charge notice.

Warning - Unauthorised persons must not remove or
    interfere with this ticket.

So is it a ticket or a notice? :)

    It's a speculative invoice. :)

Read the thread referenced in my signature, and do nothing until you receive the Notice to Keeper (NtK) through the post.

Taken them just over a month to send the NTO. It arrived Mon 23rd yet they want us to contact them before the 27th. Yeah right.

Is it better to appeal by post or online/email in the 1st instance?
