After recently posting over on the DFW board and ending up reading diaries for hours, I have decided I NEED to join in. There are some truly inspirational people on here and I can only hope to be half as good as some of you :A
I will copy my SOA over from my first post
I should add, we haven't actually had Housing benefit/council tax benefit yet.
Nor have we received any JSA yet should be sorted this week.

Bit about us, there's me DH 2 children and one due in March. We also have a lovely dog that will see us complete when baby arrives

We have only recently claimed for benefits after DH had his second injury at work in under 6 months. He is now looking for work elsewhere. Hoping this doesnt take too long
Any help is welcome, I have to say this is the first time coming "clean" about how much our debt actually rules what we do

the most important things are rent and council tax.....make those your priority debts.
I don't think stepchange or anyone will help you as your debts are not owed to companies.
do you need 2 mobiles? can you get rid of one while you're both at home?
check out the old style money saving expert thread for advice on thrifty ways.
can you sell stuff at a car boot or ebay and start to catch up with your rent?
go to citizens advice and check that you're getting everything you're entitled too as well
best of luckOriginal mortgage £154,850 (2013)

The rent is definitely my first priority right now (I'm not sure if you read the other thread about being court for the possession order on the 11th December.
I need to get some plans into place as we have the grand sum of £2.32 left and over a week until money comes in
My house is also a mess! My ironing pile (if it can even be called that more of cupboard is bigger than me) The kids rooms are a disgrace and mine isn't much better!
Everything is a mess and getting on top of me and the money situation just doubles the weight on my shoulders

Hi, just wanted to say good luck

Check out Fiscal Fast-7 days no spending, it's all about using the resources you already have, like food. Etc, very interesting. It's in Old style moneysaving, I can't post the link.
Keep calm, can the kids help tidy up their rooms? Make it into a game? Can they help by doing chores around the house? I'm lazy, I don't iron unless I have to
. Unfortunately I have to do my work shirts. Can you go through the clothes and fold ones that aren't too creased?
Write a list of goals you want to get done everyday and tick them off as you go, I'm sure you're doing more than you think. I need to set up a schedule and stick to it.Debts CC1 1424 // CC2 1836.65 // CC3 [STRIKE]973.40[/STRIKE] 823.70 // CC4 [STRIKE]609.05[/STRIKE] 459.04 // Very [STRIKE]422.25[/STRIKE] ah now 533.53

Tomorrow I will
Hoover and clean the kids floors, skirting boards etc
Same in my bedroom
Do down the landing stairs
Straighten downstairs.
I have enough food in to easily see us until Thursday.Rent £2302.89 Paid £60

My sister will receive the same though which makes me feel better.
Family loan 2 is a relative. I borrowed £1500, I pay weekly and never missed but I have NO idea how much is left owing
When I pay her this week I will try and find out.
