I've heard of golden beetroot and candy beetroot but never white. Have you cooked it up yet? Does it smell/taste the same?

I never knew it came in any colour other than deep red. I love beetroot, but would never buy/cook it as it stains so easily and wrecks clothes.

Many years ago I was drunk and ended up in an indian restaurant, I was wearing a cheap, light blue, summer dress. I put my arm (wrist to elbow) onto the table in front of me, not appreciating there was a whole plate of curry there - I ended up flipping the whole dinner directly onto my lap.

I scraped it back onto the plate and ate it .....

Back home I was staying somewhere that had a small sink, so the next day I bought some Vanish and started applying it to the dress. Only 3 applications and all the curry had gone completely, forever! And that was an entire, round, huge stain of brown curry, a full plate-size in diameter.
