advice please? amplify packages at LGArena

My friend has just purchased 2 tickets for us to see McBusted at the LG Arena in May.
We have had to buy the 'Amplify freestyle' upgraded tickets (at double the bloomin' price, but hey!).

My friend said the transaction went through fine, with no requests for her to sign up to the amplify club or ask for any sort of membership number etc.

However upon reading the site I am a little bit concerned, (okay VERY paranoid) that you need an amplify membership to actually use the freestyle tickets.

Can anyone settle my mind at all.
Do you need an 'Amplify' membership to use the LG Arena freestyle ticket?

We bought One Direction tickets plus a freestyle package for their concert earlier this year (for teenage daughter not us!) and didn't need a membership number or anything like that.

The tickets plus all of the information for the hospitality package were sent out about a week before the concert.

We had seats on the showdeck and it was a brilliant view!
