To give a much finer point in a specific area (though most definitely not limited to...) my line of work systems administration crops up allot.
Where someone would be required to monitor a server for a site of a company (and quite possibly a much wider job spec), I wouldn't say always cheap though some of the time but right in there with the mix they don't pay very well. It all depends on how much of a budget the person and/or company has to pay for such specific work I do.
I mean in IT based work you can offshoot that to India for pennies really.Doing some indepth analysis of my outgoings it's a real eye opener!
I find if I keep paying by card and keeping the receipts insisting that I have them from the shop, then itemising them when I get home on excel makes my life a whooole lot easier!0
