Any chance?

Is there any lender which as standard does not require an employment contract and literally is happy with just payslips or is the clamp down on lending gone to such a stage that this is a must?

    Can you explain your circumstances?

If its just a case of you have lost your contract then you can request a copy or the lender can request a copy - if that isnt the case then could you explain further?

Most lenders only require payslips and I think I've only once been asked for a contract, and that was because they hadn't started a new job.

Why do you ask ? It seems like an odd question to me. No offence intended.
  • Already gone to underwriter stage with Skipton and declined last min as they requested contract. Contract is with local council however only 'temp' for this year and just got extended to 2015 and still no one will touch me as its not "fixed term contract" apparently however, I can see myself there til 2015 and still at a loss!

    Skipton underwriting says:
Must have been contracted for at least 24 months. Copies of previous contracts, as a minimum the last 24 months.
Its not to do with the type of contract by the looks of it, its the length.

Once you put down you are on a temp contract the lender will want to see proof. I would imagine with a new contract in place as it has been renewed it should be possible to find a lender.

It might be worth speaking to a broker.

How long have you worked there?

First fixed term contract, or are you saying you had one and have now started another which ends in 2015?

Are you trying to do this yourself, or using a broker? It sounds like Skipton was the wrong option to start with.
