Game Night Hamper

I'm planning a game night hamper for my brother and sister-in-law this Christmas. I'd been thinking along the lines of one proper board game, 2 smaller games, a deck of cards and a black board for keeping score.
I'm really just after ideas of games that would be good for two people. I thought something along the lines of Logo or Articulate would be good, but they're all team games. Any other suggestions anyone might have for other bits to include would also be appreciated.
Thanks everyone

A few years ago my mam did something similar for dh and myself. She got us guess who and battleships. At first we was thinking, what has she got us these for as we aren't game players (except online). But we had a right giggle playing them and it brought back a lot of memories from when we were kids.
I can reccomend bop it too, not necessary a board game, but loads of fun, my hubby has the highest score in this house and that really frustrates me and the kids! Lol! There's a few different versions out too.
And what about trivial pursuit?
Also, if there a jokey kind of couple, in supermarkets with the kids party supplies you can usually find winners medals/trophies cheap.Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -
I haven't played it yet but Linkee looks like it might fit your criteria and has good reviews.0

Linkee looks like good fun
And I was thinking some sort of tacky trophy or medal might be required lol.
Thanks both0 -
What about connect 4 or jenga?
Both are great fun and a bit nostalgic...possibly more fun as adults after a drink or two than they were when we were kids!Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
Scrabble is good with 2 people. Othello is enjoyable but less fun. I think Connect 4 sounds great!0

a cribbage board to go with the cards?
You can get books that have the rules to many card games or even print off the rules from the internet.
you could also add some jokey things like chewing gum to alleviate the tension or print off fake money for 'betting'.0 -
Thanks for all the ideas everyone, think I'm pretty much done now
Except that I'd completely forgotten about a book of card games! Thanks Chris25!
