Advice required, foreign national UK mortgage in child's name?

I was hoping someone may be able to help. My partner and I (uk residents) are currently not able to be granted a mortgage, however, my partner's father is a relatively wealthy foreign national willing to pay a deposit and mortgage repayments, with my partner having their name on the mortgage. Is there a scheme or plan that caters for such a scenario? I know of the Family Affordability Plan from Barclays, but such is only available for UK residents. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Is the father resident in the UK?

Hello. The father is not a UK resident, and our credit scoring is low. I am self employed, just over 1 year, and my partner is just recently unemployed.0
