Pension Tax refund

I pay into NHS pension but i have also opted in to topping it up and pay extra monthly to do that.
For various reasons I have to do Self Assesment Tax form which I do myself.
I am a higher tax payer - 40%
I am wondering if my extra payments through PAYE are actually taken into account?
I don't declare on my self assessment form other than my pay.
Any advice welcome

The extra pension payments will almost certainly reduce your taxable income. You can check this by comparing the "taxable pay to date" between two payslips.
If they reduce your taxable pay then everything is taken care of in your payslip, you just need to decare your P60 income which will already be reduced by your contributions.0
