new jsa claims, before xmas?

my temp job is likely to end early / mid December.. if start a new clai then, would it get processed in time, or do they leave until after the holidays?

They are usually pretty quick apply online and make sure its a rapid reclaim. Usually within 2 days. I would have thought the job centre is shut christmas day and boxing day obviously but probably more than likely open other days. If you have a payment due around these dates you will probably get paid early on christmas eve I would have thought.

Thanks. Last time I signed on, was 10days between online app, and first signing day..

I have found when you rapid reclaim. You usually get the same signing on day with the same fortnight gap. So if u back track through the calendar, you can usually work out when they ask you to sign on before you go to complete your claim.

I found when you rapid re claim it takes 6 weeks and a load of phone calls. I have NEVER had a rapid reclaim sorted in less than 5 weeks.

Also, the day you sign on is dictated by your NI number, eg those who ends 42 always sign on a wednesday.
