Happy new diary queenidiot! (LOVE your username
I'm an idiot too!)
Sorry you haven't had the most successful week so far but what I've learnt is that this money saving thing is a learning curve and nobody becomes perfect at it right awayAt least I know I definitely haven't :rotfl: Probably never will actually...
Maybe post up your SOA and people here can help you out in areas you could save on, Its much easier for a stranger to look at your finances more objectively than yourself!
I will subscribe to your diary and look forward to reading moreSaved so far - £28,890.97

You're not the only one. I have a weakness for gigs, holidays and nice hair. Trying to hard to curb these habits. Just last January I seemed to be freaking out whether I could even make the minimum payments on my credit cards and realised couldn't carry on like that. Sleepless nights, have reduced them but would have been lower but needed a new front door last month. Hoping to clear another 1k before xmas.:j

Aww, thank you for stopping by and reading, it's nice to know I'm not talking to myself! And it will definitely help keep me on the straight and narrow. In fact, it's already working as I've been super good this week and not made any unnecessary purchases AT ALLThe idea of having to confess them on the internet is really making me think twice before I spend

Wow, £1k before Xmas is an impressive goal! Good luck!
Or stupid, putting a lot of pressure on me. I have a lodger at the moment so that will help towards my goal. Even tho keep thinking how nice it would be to treat myself to highlights and get my hair cut.

Hi Queen :hello:
How is the £50 a week cash spending budget going? Are you managing to stick to this? Don't beat yourself up too much if you stumble a few times in the beginning - you learn by experience and hopefully realizing where your going wrong so you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try againPlus what works for one person will fail miserably for another, you have to work out what's in your own best interests!
