My due date is the 7th Feb which is now 13 weeks away, my husbands employer is saying that as he did not fill in the SPP form before 15 weeks before the due date he is not entitled to SPP. I've been looking on the government website and it says that
From this I'm reading as long as he discussed his plans with his manager etc, he does not have to actually give the form in until 28 days before the birth?
Am I right or am I clutching at straws? I'm pretty unhappy with them right now as it's a big company and he's been asking for the paperwork to fill in for ages.
You must discuss your leave plans with your employer and tell them what time off you want by the 15th week before the week the baby is due. Your employer can tell you when this is, if you are not sure.
You must complete this form and give it to your employer at least 28 days before you want to start receiving OSPP.

It reads to me that so long as he's discussed which weeks he's potentially going to need off, then he needs to then hand the form in 28 days before due date.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
