Ikea Christmas Tree

Options
This offer for a £25 tree with £20 voucher starts on 6th December. I can see MSE has guessed the date for the Christmas Deals Predictor - not sure how to contact someone to update it... :money:
If you purchase your Christmas tree at IKEA from 6th December until the 22nd December 2013, we’ll give you a £20 coupon that you can spend decorating your tree, or any way you want!

*Offer available when you buy a £25 Christmas tree. Coupons can be redeemed between the 20th January until 9th February 2014

  • I'd heard about this offer in passing but thought it would be a rubbish fake tree...just saw on the link that they are real trees :)

I'm ridiculously excited about Christmas this year as we're buying our first home and will actually be home for Christmas (haven't been for years) so it'll be worth putting up a tree and getting into the spirit of things.

  • Ooh a lovely real tree for your first home - that's what we did in spite of my husband's moaning at the cost!

How can you spend the voucher to decorate your tree if you can't spend it until January? Or am I reading that wrong?

That bit of the advert is a bit misleading...unless you leave the tree up into the new year!

I'm sure we'll need plenty of stuff for the new house in the new year (wise to wait until after Christmas to start buying things in case things turn up under the tree) so the coupon will come in handy.

My DD and I did this last year and yes it is misleading in that you cant buy your tree and use the coupon to decorate that tree but you can do what we did and use the coupon to buy decorations and presents for the next year. Worked out well for us as the decorations were drastically reduced.

Will be doing the same this year hopefully.

    Xmas Saver!
I like the way they say you can spend it 'decorating your tree', then add it can't be redeemed until the New Year. :rotfl:
