  • I am trying to cancel my current subscription with Lovefilm - I have clicked the cancel subscription button but it is asking me to call customer services to confirm the cancellation. Is this normal? I didn't have to call CS the last time I cancelled.

I am hoping to cancel then reapply for another free 90 day trial later this week.

You can cancel online after 10pm, before that it asks you to call them.

Thanks for the 3 months free code. I have already signed up to Lovefilm twice before using a 3 months free offer & it has just worked again (always using the same email address) :)

Actually I have just checked my lovefilm account & it says

"Your subscription will be fully activated once we have verified your credit card details (usually within one hour of sign-up)"

So I may not be getting 3 months free after all :(

Just moved house and thought i'd try for 3 months free DVD's for the third time and it worked will be getting my partner to do the same in another three months sorted for films over the winter :money:
  • Apologies if I have done this wrong,Im new to this.
I am near the end of my 3 months free with lovefilms.com and tried to cancel.I read how to do it properly-I rang on Tuesday 14th August and told them I wanted to cancel, I had 2 discs at home(which they said was the best time to cancel) and was told that I had to send them back and get proof of postage, which I did.
I was then told to ring them back on the 18/19 August to cancel again.
I went along with this, but thought it a bit odd so I checked my account on the website and they have sent me more DVDs!!!!considering my 1st payment is due on the 21 August I feel they have not listened to me.
I have sent an email to them again this morning to reiterate my request and have tried ringing them but no answer.
    Can anyone help

tip; when you have sent your last dvd's back to cancel go to your list and empty it so they don't send you anymore!
  • as above poster said, regardless of when you ring them you MUST empty your rental list.

otherwise the system will automatically send out another disc during the crossover period involved on someone actioning your cancellation. it's not that they're not listening to you, but the system will always be quicker to send a disc out than a manual cancellation by customer services.

for the people above who were querying whether they'll recieve the offer due to card verification; yes you will. it always says that. even when i reactivated my account which held a verified card, that statement still popped up for about 3 hours.
