Where are you staying, perhaps that place has allocated parking?

Stuart's Lane is £5 for the day and then all public car parks are free after 18:00.

As others have said, it very much depends where you are staying. Just pick a street or area close by if you don't want to tell us which hotel. Not that anyone here is going to turn up and demand you buy the next round.............although that's maybe not a bad idea. :D

Given that your parking is on a 1st come 1st served basis, lets assume your staying near Waring street ... If so, you could park in St. Annes or around the corner in North Street car park or even in the multi-storey HI-park
