As I have now been offered a job do I...
1)
Have to admit I have found a job and stop claiming or
2) With the start date is likely to be Dec/Jan, keep claiming till the day before I start my new job?
Any help or advice on what I have to do here?
Many Thanks

It it were me Id go for 2.
You dont know if the job will fall through between now and Dec/Jan ( its unlikely but still possible ) and you continue looking for work.
Its up to you though.0 -
Thanks for your advice.
Basically, I want to do what I am entitled to, so option 2 is allowed or do I HAVE TO declare I have accepted a job?0 -
If me I would tell them I have been offered a job to start in January. You will then be in a position to say that you can only be considered for temporary work until then and that is all you can apply for. They will probably go easy on you until then with your job search checking0

If you are going to continue to look for work (even if just temporary) until your new job starts, then you're entitled to claim JSA until you actually start work. You do need to continue to actively seek work though.Sealed Pot Challenge #239

I might actually be able to get some temp work for 2/3 weeks with my brother but find out till next week.
Do I have to inform the JC that I have been offered a job? My concern is, that if I inform them I have been a offered a job they will stop my JSA claim - even if I am actively looking for temp work...0 -
No you're not required to inform them that you've received an offer. You only have to tell them when you start work. Keep looking for work as before and sign off the day before you start.Sealed Pot Challenge #239

Tell them you have a job, provided you are still looking and availale for work there really is no issue. Take them proof of the job offer and they will amend your agreement to say you are looking for temp work or a job better than the one you have been offered.
Contiue to look and fill in your jobsearch as per your agreement and you will still recieve benefit as now.0 -

Ah I didn't know the advisors could do that
