Ok will try and make this as simple as possible!
I work for a company cleaning 1+3/4 hrs each morning. I have worked for them for 13 years.
I have a contract with hours & days etc on from when I started. Some of you may have seen or replied to a previous post r.e holidays and pay as they used to pay me what I have understood to be 'wraparound' pay.
As of a few weeks ago we were told a contract company were taking over. We were all keeping our jobs, nothing would change etc.
We were seen a few weeks back and started 'officially' this
Monday. Things seem very disorganised yet they are very strict on things.
Now I have had a few issues with things and seem to get answers that don't really answer my question.

Thanks for any replies.

Now I have had a few issues with things and seem to get answers that don't really answer my question.
Things like:
- I have asked about my pay now the wraparound isn't included..the answer was 'work it out, x your hours x weeks = your amount per hour'?? Cant they just tell me as I haven't been on a wage for years and don't really know what it should be before all this?! was never good at maths.
- That I am not allowed holidays in Dec and any others must be accrued (sure this is the same in a lot of places just new for us as never done it like this) & that we as staff have to cover ourselves if we go away and if we can't we don't, despite telling me it is the employers responsibility?!
- I have asked when we will be getting our contract. This is the big one for me as the one we have is with the business we work in (previous job as such), not the company we now work for..should we have a new one? We are being told no, the old one covers us? I don't want to jus be turfed out.
- Another possibly silly thing is, some hoovers got dropped off. They are pull along ones and really hurt my back as I tend to bend a lot with them. The others I work with agreed but after a chat with the new boss the answer was 'tough its what you have to use' That I hadn't put on my application form that I 'had a bad back'..i tried to explain that I had a car accident years ago BUT although it can hurt it doesn't affect me to work however IF I was able to use the current hoover (which ive used for 13 years!) it wouldn't be a prob and hadn't been an issue at all) I was told no. Do I need to get this put on my form to cover me incase of future issues?
Thanks for any replies.
