Digital Camera recomendations please?

Hi there! I need to buy a new digital camera, i'm going on holiday next week and the camera we have takes (or should I say eats) batteries! My budget is about £100 if anyone knows of good deals or can recommend a camera that doesn't take regular/digital camera batteries that is good for general use but produces decent pictures I would really appriciate your help!

Hi I have the Casio Exilim (I have seen them recently on offer in asda with the memory card, case and free prints) around the hundred pound mark.

It has a chargeable battery and it lasts a long while and i have been nothing but impressed with the quality of the photographs.

    Have a nice holiday!!

Most (probably all) digital camera using AA or AAA batteries will 'eat' batteries. This is because the voltage drops off very quickly if you use a non-rechargable ones. You should buy a set of quick charger and high-capacity NiMH batteries along with camera purchase. A couple of 2000mAh+ AA rechargable batteries should give you more than 200 pictures.
You may also consider a camera with inbuilt lithium battery, they are lighter, more compact and easier to use. But you may not have a backup if your camera run out of charge as you cannot use the standard ones.
Sony cameras tend to have better battery life compared to most others, though I may not recommend Sony otherwise (uses more expensive MS stick and other proprietary components, more processed images).

Yep, we bought a cheap £39.99 camera which looked like a nice spec, not heard of the brand before, now we're looking for a better one after months of blurred photos (unless like me you can hold your arm dead still :D)

I would recommend a canon powershot. 460 or better.
