JSA - GP's sick note

Hi,
Can anyone possibly advise please?
DD got a sick note from the GP for 2 weeks (till 26th November).
She signed on yesterday (13th) and seen the GP after her sign on appointment.
Her normal 2 weekly sign on should be on the 27th - she will attend that as her sick note is till 26th.
BUT - JC wanted her to attend extra this friday and next Wednesday.
I assume her sick note cover that?
I know she is allowed "2 periods" of sickness in a year as far as JSA is concerned, she has a GP sick note.
Can she email her "advisor" and notify her about this sickness and will this stop them trying to push her to attend extra Friday and Wednesday which are NOT her sign on days? Her next sign on day is 27th and she will of course attend then.
Sorry, hope it makes sense?
Thanks for any help xx

Anyone?
Also, does she have to answer any phone calls from JC etc while she is signed off sick by her GP?
Ale links to official guidance on being off sick while on JSA?
Thanks a lot0 -
How can you be too sick to get JSA?0
-
That is not what my post/question is about.
If you are at work and are ill, have a sick note from a GP - you do nto have to attend say meetings etc till your sick note expires.
Also, while on sick note, your manager can not harass you with phone calls/emails and expecting you to answer those as you are signed off sick by your GP.
I am trying to find out what does it look like while someone is on JSA.0 -
You can be sick for two periods of up to 14 days in any one year and remain on JSA. The sick note won't hurt, but you don't actually need it - you can self certify your illness.
In order to do this, you need to complete form JSA28, available from your Jobcentre. While you are ill you are exempted from the normal availability for work requirements. If your period of sickness exceeds 14 days, or if you are sick more than twice in a year, you would need to claim ESA.
That is from another forum but can not find any official info about that - does anyone know where can I find it please?0 -
Do a google search for ' JSA and sickness' and it is explained to you on the gov website.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

Perhaps your daughter could deal with the adviser herself?0 -
You really need to let your daughter get on with all this for herself. You always seem to be posting about what Jobcentre she has to sign on at and whether she needs to do an apprenticeship when it's realy down to her, as an adult, to sort these things out for herself.
I'm afraid you seem to me to be doing her no favours by doing everything for her.0 -
@jacques whatever - perhaps you could just .. off from my threads with your "helpful comments" when you have no idea what are you talking about and I am under no obligation to explain myself to you?
Rather than answer the question - have to get personal everywhere I post?
Thanks.0 -
OP when I was off sick having a broken foot I didn't have to sign on but I had to claim sickness benefit for about a month. But that was about 15 years ago so don't really know what you have to do now.0
