My Mum has the row of mini stockings, she actually has 2 one for my wee one and the other for my 14 year old niece. My wee boy gets a sweetie in his (this year she has bought a bit bag of Starburst and he will get one a day), but my niece gets a pound coin very day and then her and my Mum go Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve and she uses it to buy her presents with. It's money that my Mum would have been giving her anyway, but this saves her money as it is given in the advent instead of presents in there....if that makes sense...lol;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0

I have girls so have hair bobbles, jewellery, little pocket pets, sqinkies, chocolate, then notes with activities such as making paper chains, angels, baking cakes, then cryptic clues to ind bigger things which don't fit in that I have picked up for pennies.0

If you are near a home bargains they had some England football figures in blind bags for 19p each.
Other things I can think of are individual temporary tattoos, mini springs/wind up toys, mini notebook, new decoration for the Christmas tree, pens/pencils, fridge magnets, travel size shower gels etc, bookmark, small soap, keyring.
Can't think of anything else right now but will pop back if I have any ideas!0 -
Don't know if he is into star wars but saw these packs in Entertainer the other day for £10, then fill out the rest of the pockets with sweets/chocolate

I have done Advent calendars for my 2 daughters for 21 years now and the presents have obviously changed over the years. Every year I say it will be the last year I do it but come 1st December I know I will be looking out for things for 2014!
This might take a bit of time but I do start in December for the following year. I check the MSE Grabbit and Freebies sections for suitable gifts throughout the year and have managed to get 18 per calendar for free this year.
I admit it is probably easier to do this for young adult women than teenage boys!0 -

My mum did stockings for my sister and I up to age 21 - when she said it was the last year we decided to start doing them for each other - that was 15 years ago and we still do them for each other every year! Just an idea if you did want to stop the calendars they could do each others!
Back to ideas for what to put in - what about a lego set that you could split up and put bits in different days?0 -
FotoInsight print chocolate filled advent calendar with your own picture and/or text, which I think is cool.0
-
I've brought a set of friends Lego and a puzzle that I split up for both girls to build together.0
