Why are the offers all on processed foods? When was the last time Lidl did a 1/2 price promotion on all fruit and veg?
Although the Brie offer is ok I suppose (grumbles).Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

How can a tomato be described as "processed" ?
This weekend has potato
Previous weekend had oranges0 -
I think VfM was talking about the weekly offer not the weekend one.
I shall definitely go for the brie and the oatcakes and, depending on flavour, the pork shanks as well.0 -
thanks op always good to know what is coming up for planningonwards and upwards0

Weren't on offer but I found medium organic eggs in Lidl today 6 for 1.99 plus organic Fairtrade bananas £1, organic onions 67p, organic carrots 79p, 5 frozen grass pastured GM free New Zealand lamb loin chops for 2.99, 16 Nouvelle recycled paper loo rolls for 3.99, and Styrian pumpkin seed oil IGP for 2.99
I spotted frozen grass-pastured GM free New Zealand venison in various cuts eg shoulder, steaks and diced as well.
It is possible to eat really well out of Lidl and not consume vast amounts of additives BUT supermarkets ALL love light processed stuff with long shelf lives which are cheap to make and transport but max profit for them and manufacturers.
If we're going to name n shame then I ventured into Home Bargains today for the first time and it has hardly any fresh food at all.0 -

I may go back tomorrow first thing as they always save some to put out on Sunday0 -
Loads of Brie still here, and best sell by date 26th Dec.
Same cheese in Sainsbury is £1.95. for 200g.0
