Can I have more than one barclaycard??

I currently have a barclaycard platinum card with the 27 month 0% offer. I've had it since early September and used it purely for a BT. I make large monthy payments via direct debit and have a decent limit.
( approx using a third)
I want another card purely for purchases ( large and small) and they do a freedom rewards card with 0% for 14 months. The pre checker said very good chance but I'm unsure if I can have two seperate barclaycards.
I can't find anything online which confirms if I can or can't.

I don't want to waste a credit search if it will decline me, and not sure if holding the other card for only just over two months goes against me.
Any experience from anyone on this?

I don't have the most perfect history, I have a default dropping off in march from an old settled debt.

  • Yep, Barclaycard Freedom Rewards, OH has just been approved despite having a Platinum already.

Do you have to be with them a certain amount of time, or doesn't it really matter if everything is in good order?

I'm not sure to be honest. OH had her Plat for about 10 months prior to getting the Freedom Rewards. Usually a company will want a certain amount of history, around 6 months I'd expect.
  • if i was you i would be careful...barclaycard pushed my limit to £15k then in 24 hours notice as it got to 7k capped it at 7k and gave me no more credit....i would not mind but i had no idea and owed nothing in arrears....i would go elsewhere

You should, then. If you don't like their service then repay the card, and stop dealing with them.

Or are you another of those people who'll slate them, but not actually want to pay them back what you owe just yet?
