My parents have just got their 1st allotment and are absolutely loving it. What useful things can I buy them for Christmas?

I have an allotment and i would LOVE:

Twine, kneeling pad, new trowel, anti carrot fly fleece, fancy plant markers, bug house, folding chair for breaks lol, gardening gloves, subscription to GrowYourOwn (very useful web forum on the website as well), a dibber, a yearly vege planner was my best gift as you can record what you do good and bad and go back to it the folowing year and change your planting times.
Also you could make a 'map' of the allotment for them to photocopy each year to keep an eye oout on stock rotation :)
oh oh and a recepie book for 'fun' things to make with your hopeful glut in the summer with courgetter chutney, sloe gin, james etc..

Actually make a little hamper with different bits in it as it will all be usefull :)
NOT: Seeds! they pile up - Unless they are unusual ones?

    HTH
    :)

This is going to sound strange but a relative of mine who had a allotment wanted BROWN PAPER COMPOSTABLE BAGS for all their peelings at home to be put in to this and taken to the allotment. We bought a pack of 10 from a garden centre for about £5, flask and some other bits.
    Thrilled she was!

I think a little hamper full of little bits would be great :)

If not, maybe get them a plant (veg/fruit) that they want? x
