British Gas Trading ltd Debt Letter

I recently received a debt letter from a company called ScotCall, they claim they are writing to inform me of an unpaid debt to British Gas Trading Ltd, who according to ScotCall have contact me numerous times for payment.

There are two things wrong with this:
1) I have Gas and Electricity from Scottish Power/Gas/Electric
2) I have had no correspondence from British Gas

Should I pay and ask questions later, or refuse to pay. Please help.

If I sent you a letter asking for payment, would you pay it? Or would you question it?

Send them the "prove it" letter or just ignore SnotCrawl as they are on a phishing trip.
