Advice Re. Suspension Needed Speedily Please

    Update guys.

    Meeting today, copies of all emails from her email. After lots of tears, an apology was issued as the emails clearly showed that she had sent none, but had merely responded to emails sent.

    In all of the emails with moaning and complaining about the line manager, my sister used replies such as 'well that's life; suck it up and get on with your work; speak to your line manager'.

    Although it is now agreed that nothing derogatory was said by her, she has been told not to respond to such emails, and an email is being sent to all staff reminding them not to use the internal server in such a fashion.

    Seems a little unfair to me, as she is clearly guilty of nothing, yet she was suspended whilst everyone else is just receiving the round robin email. As all the complaints were about one person it would seem to me the company should be questioning quite why so many folk find her difficult to work with?

    Well, the main thing is she's facing no further action, and they've decided to be supportive with flexible hours so she can support her child.

    Glad it turned out ok for her.

    It may be that the iffy line manager is having performance issues dealt with but obviously due to confidentiality no ones going to be able to discuss that with your sister.

    Something to note is that suspension whilst something is investigated isn't technically a punishment.

    Suspension without pay as a sanction after an investigation would be.
